AKHNOOR, Dec 8: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma today said that policies of BJP are still hurting the people even after fall of its Govt in the State.
Addressing a party meeting here organised for felicitation of Sarpanchs and Panchs of Block Chowki Choura here today, former minister took note of the problems being faced by the people of Akhnoor constituency. He said that elected representative from the area have failed to address the genuine problems of the people. He further alleged that BJP has completely failed to fulfil any promise made with the people during Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Sham further alleged that previous BJP-PDP dispensation in the State has totally failed in Governance and deliverance during its recent tenure. He lambasted the anti-people polices of BJP Government which are still hurting the people even after the fall of their Government. He said that no progress was achieved under the BJP regime.
Congress leader said that the people were deprived of the amenities like issue of ration, drinking water and electricity. They were feeling cheated by voting BJP. He said that people wanted change and end to their long pending development related issues due to an easy access to their elected representatives.
He exhorted elected Sarpanch and Panches to work hard for the development of their respective areas and make themselves easily available to the people and discuss the developmental and basic amenities issue with them for speedy and well planned works.
Sham Lal also alleged that previous PDP-BJP regime has proved non-performing liability for the people of the state who voted them to power. He expressed contentment and satisfaction over the performance of the party in Chowki Choura Block in recently concluded Panchayat elections.
