Political stalemate

Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘Political stalemate detrimental to interests of J&K’ DE Jan 26.
The former Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah has rightly impressed upon the PDP-BJP coalition to form the Government to end political uncertainity or pave way for dissolution of Legislative Assembly. The inordinate delay in Government formation is hampering onward march of the State on the path of peace and prosperity. The State had embarked on developmental process after remaining in political inertia almost for six months before the PDP-BJP coalition Government took off. After some unhealthy developments in the first month of the Government formation, the Government had started functioning smoothly. With the demise of the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohd Sayeed the State the fallen in uncertainty.
Dr Abdullah has rightly said that ‘the sensitive State cannot afford political stalemate for a long time in case the PDP and BJP are unable to perform their assigned  role.’ The State is confronted with many problems and these need  to be  addressed at the earliest.
The coalition partners cannot hold the State to ransom for their political interests.
Yours etc…
