Some politicians in Valley making hey over human blood: Chaman

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 10: Stressing the need for exposing hypocrisy, the former Union Minister, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta said that certain politicians were instigating violence and making hey over human blood and sufferings to the peace loving vast majority of the people.
In a statement, Prof. Gupta said that it was a strange politics that certain separatist and semi-separatists are terming Kashmir as a “dispute” even after taking the oath of the Constitution and drawing benefits including the salaries, pensions, high category of security etc. ignoring the fact that under the Constitution, both of India and that of the State, the J&K is an integral part of the country and no one can change this fact.
He said that it was height of hypocrisy that certain politicians are instigating bloodshed and fuelling unrest in the Valley of Kashmir by terming the stone pelters and gun totting  youths as crusaders of the Azadi for “Kashmiri nation.”
Prof. Gupta welcomed the move for hitting at the sources of funding the cross border terror and violence which had been a boon for amassing wealth by some politicians and a big cause of destruction and impediments to peace, development and prosperity.
Deploring the Calender Raj and Friday politics, he said that religion is to worship God to seek peace, progress and tranquility amongst mankind but it is strange that Friday gatherings are being used to spread violence and hatred. This should also be exposed at various foras and strict action be taken against the perpetrators.
He welcomed the anti-terror stand taken by Government of India both at the home and abroad.
