Talking to reporters at the sidelights of a party meeting here, today, Raina said that leaders of National Conference (NC), Congress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) exploited the people of J&K on the name of special status for 70 long years just for their own vested interests.
He said they created hurdles in implementation of Central laws beneficial for common man and deprived the people of J&K especially the West Pak refugees, Walmiki Samaj, PoJK refugees and Kashmiri Pandits of justice during the decades old rule.
He said with the annulling of Article 370 and 35 (a) and carving out of two UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh the people of the two UTs have started reaping the fruits of democracy as they have been put on the path of development.
Raina made it clear that Statehood will not be restored until the people who looted the J&K will be taken to task. On the holding of elections in the J&K, the BJP leader said that his party is committed to the same and Prime Minster, Narendra Modi has also made an announcement to this effect in his Independence Day function this year that after the completion of Delimitation process the elections will be held. Lambasting Congress, Raina said people of India can’t trust Congress for next 200 years.

He also said that the Congress party has denied right to speak to its workers, curbed internal democracy and always took forward its one time agenda to serve the interests of single ruling family. “How the fair and public centric Government can be expected from such a party”, he asked.?
