No Governemnt in India or anywhere in the world has ever made such blatant political use of a purely military operation as did the present NDA Government.
Special Forces exist in many countries and every one knows about them but they are not visible nor are their operations or activities talked about the way they are being in India that too by the tallest of leaders of the present Government.
What is the present Government trying to achieve by celebrating surgical strikes— a purely military operation? They have made the Special Forces visible and caused damage to their functioning and strategy.
This celebration is most ridiculous and difficult for the defence fraternity to accept. Kindly do not use the armed forces to achieve political purposes. Armed forces keep conducting such operations and many such operations have been undertaken previously also but they have been kept a secret and very rightly so.Such operations definitely do not warrant celebrations .
One aspect which clearly stands out is that the present govt probably does not have anything else to show in terms of achievement and therefore the attempt to show a purely military operation as their achievement.
