JAMMU, May 20: A polytechnic student allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his rented accommodation in Bantalab area of the winter capital.
As per reports, a polytechnic college student namely Ajay Kumar Sharma (21), son of Vijender Sharma of district Udhampur allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his rented accommodation at Bantalab.
Finding him unconscious, family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body was later handed over to family members for last rites after completion of legal formalities.
A case has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason the reason behind such extreme step.
