Polytechnic students suffer because of Kashmir turmoil

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 3: Because of prevailing situation in Kashmir Valley, the Polytechnic students of Jammu division are suffering as the examinations of various semesters are getting delayed for no fault of their.
The examinations of various semesters, which were supposed to be held in the month of June, are nowhere in sight while the students appearing in the final year have almost lost the opportunity to get admission for higher studies.
The examination forms for 2nd and 4th semester (Regular) as well as Re-appear students are yet to be filled and hence they are going to loose this session, explained an aggrieved student of the Polytechnic.
The affected students  have sought intervention of  Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and appealed Board of Technical Education   to take some pro-active action for immediately conducting  the 2nd, 4th and 6th semester examinations of  regular students of Jammu division Polytechnics  so that there may be no loss of their  precious time.
Pertinent to mention that J&K Board of Technical Education conducts examination of Jammu as well as Kashmir division Polytechnics jointly. Because of prevailing turmoil in the Valley, no process is being initiated by the Board for conducting due examinations and thus, students of Jammu division are suffering because of Kashmir situation.
