Sir,
Poor pensioners, once the torch bearers in every job assigned to them, are now passing their old age in utter gloom devoid of health care and other basic facilities. In advanced countries, the pensioners are provided with free accommodation and medical facilities, but in our state they are pining for the third instalments of the 6th Pay Commission arrears, that were due to them in April 2013 as per the agreement with employees. Even the agreement with employees. Even 10 percent DA due from July 2013 has also been kept in abeyance.
The pensioners being already axed by the sky rocketing prices and unnecessary hurdles in the payments of DA and pension arrears, are leading a life like fish out of water. The administration at the helm of affairs should realize that they have also to taste the bitter fruit of old age some day.
Hence, it is prayed that the Chief Minister may realized the pathetic plight of these neglected souls and announce the release of pending arrears plus enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 1000/- as a new year bonanza, so that they can tide over the present financial crises thus winning their infinite blessings.
Yours etc….
