Sir,
While felicitating JK Ranji Trophy team for their excellent performance in Ranji Trophy, several players expressed their dismay over lack of infrastructure in the State.
The poor infrastructure has proved a great hurdle in performance of players. It is not only cricket, but other games as well that have become a casualty of poor infrastructure and coaching facilities. This is because the Government and the Sports department have remained quite insensitive to the needs of sports personnel in the State. It may not be out of context to mention here that the State boasts of terrific talent, but this talent has remained untapped and unexploited.
There is urgent need to create necessary infrastructure in the State in case the performance of players has to raised to national and international levels. There is no shortage of funds as the sports bodies have sufficient grants to sustain themselves.Mere political will and administrative acumen is needed at this hours. This will be a great honour to the players.
Yours etc…
