JAMMU, Sept 1: BJP Mahila Morcha State president Poornima Sharma while highlighting the features of Central Government schemes like enhancement of monthly pension under National Assistance Programme (NAP) and Integrated Social Assistance Programme (ISAP) besides the Maternity Bill, today said that this will benefit the general public a lot.
Talking to media persons here, she said not only this, there were many more pleasant surprises coming for the people from the Narendra Modi Government. She said that the Government both at the Centre and the State have pledged to give the best to the citizens. There are the major reforms which were a pre-requisite in order to Transform India and now it can be said that India is transforming in a real sense, she added.
She said facilitating the beneficiaries of the Social Welfare Department, the State Government has increased monthly pension to Rs. 1000/- from Rs. 200/.
Poornima said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is genuinely working for the betterment of the masses and keeping the promises made in the manifesto. Those promises are being given a real shape. Now the schemes and bills remaining only on papers has become a past history.
The authenticity of the programme and the scheme can be seen at ground level now, she added.
She said in case of marriage a bride can give a self attested certificate instead of seeking a certificate from a magistrate.
Accordingly, in case of widows a self certification attested by two village community members would serve the purpose rather than going to the concerned SHO.
She appealed all the party workers to reach out the masses and make best possible efforts so that they could get the maximum benefit from the programme launched.
