KISHTWAR, Apr 15: Police today launched a special drive against illegal Poppy cultivation and destroyed a huge chunk of the crop on spot.
“Acting on specific information about cultivation of Poppy, a team of Police Station Kishtwar led by Inspector Abid Bukhari SHO Police Station Kishtwar under the supervision of Deputy SP DAR DPL Kishtwar Zia Ul Haq along with Executive Magistrate Kishtwar destroyed the poppy crop spread over a big chunk of land in Pochhal area of Kishtwar,” a police spokesperson said.
He said a case FIR Number 84/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in this connection at Police Station Kishtwar and further investigation started.
