DODA, May 24: Police here today destroyed poppy cultivation.
As per sources, on a specific input regarding illegal cultivation of opium poppy in Puneja area of Bhaderwah, cops took cognizance and registered three FIRs with numbers 87/2024, 88/2024 and 89/2024 under relevant provisions of NDPS Act at Police Station Bhaderwah.
In this major crackdown Police teams from Police Station Bhaderwah made seizure of opium poppy cultivation on the spot in the presence of the Executive Magistrate.
Identification of cultivators was being ascertained till last reports.
