Srinagar, May 17: The police, along with the Revenue Department today destroyed poppy cultivation in north Kashmir’s Sopore.
The police in Sopore, along with the Naib Tehsildar Baramulla, during a special drive against drug cultivation, destroyed a huge cultivation of poppy in Nadihal Rafiabad in the jurisdiction of Police Station Panzla.
“People are once again advised that all those who have cultivated poppy or any other narcotic substances anywhere in Police District Sopore, to destroy the same on their own, failing which they shall face strict action under the law,” the police said.
