Portrait of Jyotshi Keshav Bhat installed at Hari Parbhat Jammu

JAMMU, June 21: Rainawari Kashmiri Pandit Action Committee (RKPAC) installed the Portrait (Dhyan) of Keshav Bhat Shastri a renowned Jyotshi at Shree Shree Jagat Amba Chakreshwar, Hari Parbat ,Jammu. This initiative is the initiation of the celebration of the Haar Saptami, Haar Ashtami and Haar Navmi (Sharika Jayanti) at Hari Parbat, Chakreshwar in both Srinagar and Jammu. These festivals have important significance for the entire Kashmiri Pandit community.
While speaking on the occasion, B.L.Jalali, president , RKPAC, said Keshav Bhat Shastri of Rainawari was the crown jewel of Kashmiri Pandit community who not only saved the priceless Agamic and Nigamic texts of ancestors of Kashmiri Pandits but upheld the Logaskshi Graha Sutras. That has enabled KPs to preserve their centuries old rites and rituals even amid seven genocides. Not only that he enriched our community and the Indian nation with his Sadhana to lead the resurgence of Sanskrit civilisation of Bharat in the Kashmir.
RKPAC will make the installation of the Dhyans (portraits) of Keshav Bhat Jyotshi a national campaign. The next Dhyan (portrait) will be installed at Hari Parbat, Chakreshwar, Srinagar, Kashmir on the coming Sharika Jayanti (Har Navmi). “We appeal to the Lieutenant Governor (LG) and his administration to arrange hassle free celebration of Sharika Jyanti (Haar Navmi) at Hari Parbat, Chakreshwar, Srinagar, Kashmir by arranging transport facility for devotees travelling from Jammu and other parts of India to the temple in Kashmir besides the arrangement of accommodation, boarding, lodging and langar facilities,. We also appeal to the Central Government to recognize the matchless contribution of Jyotshi Ji and honour him by Padma Award and issue a commemorative coin and postal stamp to sensitise the whole nation about his rich contribution to Re Sanskritise in Kashmir.”
Those who spoke on the occasion included the Shiben Krishen Jyotshi, Dr.Sujeet Kumar Pandey from Central Sanskrit, University, Jammu,Sanjay Raina, expert on Kashmir Pandit Cultural Renaissance, Dr.Sushil Wattal, scholar. Jai Krishen Sher,Sadak Verender Jyotshi, Bhushan Lal Jyotshi, Renu Jyotshi, Priya Jyotshi, Vijay Jyotshi.
The function was attended by various temple committees of Rainawari and other parts of Kashmir.
Prasad was also served on the occasion. Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Mahesh Koul.
