POs in Srinagar, Baramulla to remain functional on Sunday

JAMMU, Mar 9: All the Post Offices (POs) in Srinagar City and Baramulla will remain functional tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in order to ensure best services to the people of Kashmir valley, who have faced hardships due to disruptions of mail delivery and other Post Office functions.
This was announced by John Samuel, Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle, here today. Briefing more, he said Srinagar GPO will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will provide all postal services to the people of Srinagar while other Post Offices will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Postmen will bring the letters, registered letters, parcels and speed post to the addresses on Sundays with the objective of delivering the pending mails, he added.
The people can book registered parcels and speed post on this Sunday at all the Post Offices in Srinagar and Baramulla town for four hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, he said adding, the special arrangements have been made to keep the Post Office open and to ensure booking, delivery and dispatch of mail.
With a view to provide convenience to the customers and to ensure the efficient mail delivery, Chief Postmaster General J&K Circle  has decided to keep all the city Post Offices and Baramulla open this Sunday and therefore requested the public to make full use of this opportunity.
