Positive shift in public sentiment across J&K: Karra

JAMMU, Mar 6: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Indian National Congress has successfully concluded its month-long campaign ‘Our State, Our Right’ aimed at urging the Union Government to fulfill its pre-election promises particularly the restoration of Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

This extensive public outreach program witnessed massive conventions across all districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting the people’s overwhelming support for the cause.
Under the visionary leadership of J&K Congress president, Tariq Hameed Karra, the campaign adopted an innovative approach by directly engaging with common citizens party workers sympathizers and supporters in every district. This strategy facilitated open discussions on issues related to Statehood public grievances and invited suggestions from party members to strengthen the party’s connection with the populace and stand firmly in their fight for rights.
The series of district-wise conventions commenced in Kashmir province, where individuals from diverse backgrounds regions and faiths gathered in large numbers in response to Karra’s call. They expressed their unconditional support for the demand for Statehood.
Notably, breaking away from traditional closed-door meetings Karra chose to hold these conventions in public spaces, providing an opportunity for the masses to participate and voice their concerns.
Karra’s inclusive vision calm demeanor effective planning, and openness to criticism have been widely appreciated. This liberal strategic approach led to massive public participation reflecting the people’s renewed confidence in the Congress party and its leadership.

The positive shift in public sentiment across Kashmir province indicates a growing trust in Karra’s leadership and policies as the head of the Jammu and Kashmir Congress. Similarly in Jammu province the conventions attracted significant public interest with people from various religious political ethnic and geographical backgrounds expressing their trust in the Congress party.
During these conventions Karra elaborated on the crucial role of the Congress party as a guardian of the Indian Constitution emphasizing values of peace tolerance coexistence and the protection of every citizen’s rights. He recalled periods of peace development and security under previous Congress regimes led by leaders like Indira Gandhi Rajiv Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh highlighting that there is no alternative to peace and coexistence for the nation’s progress and prosperity.
