Post of Joint Director School Education

Sir,
Kindly refer to the letter ‘Post of Jt. Director School Education’ DE Dec 30. I too support the ideas and suggestions expressed by the author for filling up the proposed new eight posts of Joint Director Education from deserving teachers, who are due for promotion.
In the present scenario,  the posts of Joint Director Education are being nicely handled by persons who by dint of their seniority rose from a school teachers to the level of Joint Director Education. Their long cherished experience in the department. In different capacities, is contributing a lot in day to-day problems of the teacher community. Moreover, these experienced officers provide a rich and healthy field experience to their superiors for successful dealing with the affairs of the School Education Department. Putting an embargo for promotion beyond C.E.O Level is contrary to the natural law of justice. Here I am reminded of the golden days, when in sixties, School Department had the privilege to nominate experienced and all round Teachers as MLC to the Legislative Council, Ghulam Rasool Azad, the then Director School Education was elevated in the J&K Legislative Council as MLC, representative of the Teacher Community. I hope while appointing eight new Joint Directors the Cabinet Sub Committee shall not ignore the long and glorious past of the field teachers who are quite worthy to handle the affairs as Joint Director Education.
Further, while clubbing the Districts, the Head Quarter of the  Joint Director Education be kept at such a District that is not far away from Winter/Summer capital of the State for handling the matters in a purposeful and fruitful  way.
Yours etc…
