JAMMU, Oct 30: Poster of the Punjabi Feature Film ‘JAMMU 86 GANGWAR’ has been launched here today.
Addressing a press conference in this regard, Producer of the Film, Parshotam Gupta informed that the Film has been inspired by real events involving Jammu’s local gangsters.
“The Film’s theme delves into the increasing influence of crime, mafia, illegal mining and robberies. It showcases the moment when the authorities stepped in using intelligence and strategic interventions, to end the reign of gangster culture. The transformation of society through education is a central message in the film, making it a compelling narrative for today’s audiences,” he maintained.
Gupta informed that screenplay, story and direction of the Film was done by Rajesh Raja while Bollywood actors—Shakti Kapoor, Shahbaz Khan and Tanvir Dar along with 50 plus talented actors from Jammu have played their roles in the Film which was shot in 30 days at breath-taking landscapes of Jammu.
He claimed that this film is the highest-budget production in the region so far and is a tribute to the close bond between Dogri and Punjabi cultures—like elder and younger sisters—and highlights Jammu’s enduring love for Punjabi cinema.
