Poswal discusses Gujjars’ problems with Ambika Soni

JAMMU, Sept 22: Bharatiya Gujjar Mahasabha (BGM) delegation led by its president Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal met Ambika Soni, general secretary, All India Congress Committee, incharge, J&K.
During the meeting, Poswal presented a detailed representation listing various concerning matters of the Gujjar community to Ambika Soni.
Their community is generally, socially, educationally and economically backward, he said.
Poswal demanded reservation in Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council and in Parliament in accordance with the direction of the Constitution of India, apportioning and utilizing funds for the development of Gujjar community on the basis of the strength of the population of the community, creation of Ministry for Tribal Affairs in J&K, and lowering down the minimal basic qualification for employment particularly in belt force to middle pass.
Ambika Soni gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured all possible help in getting solved their demands.
