Poswal tours Karnah, takes stock of people’s problems

SRINAGAR, June 13: BJP leader, Eshfaq-ur- Rehman Poswal, who had contested Assembly elections from Karnah constituency, toured far-flung areas of Kupwara district and took stock of the problems being faced by the local populace.
In his week-long tour, Poswal visited various areas of Karnah constituency. A number of delegations from Karnah comprising of local people called on him and apprised him of their problems regarding power supply.
It was informed to the BJP leader that 13 transformers supplying electricity to the areas including Neechayan Upper, Bagh Bela, Tetwal, and others, are out of order. Poswal assured them that he will take up the matter with Power Development Minister very soon.
Poswal also addressed a public meeting at Badwan where he stated that the issue related to providing employment to border people  in security forces was taken with Central Government and hoped that Government of India will shortly framed a policy in this regard.
During the tour, Poswal met high officials of BEACON and requested to macadam the road leading Sadhana Galli to Tetwal.
