JAMMU, June 15: Potholes are posing big threat to commuters on the road leading to Colonel Colony and Royal Apartments in Bohri area of city outskirts. The residents of Royal Apartments said that it has become very difficult for commuters to ply on the road as it is full of big potholes. “Many a times, accidents have occurred on this road due to these potholes,” they alleged.
The locals said that potholes are result of the non-coordination between UEED and R&B. These potholes are jeopardizing the life of two wheelers as well as four wheelers, they added.
“The absence of proper lighting makes it more dangerous in the night. Moreover, the road becomes unsafe during night for the movement of ladies,” the residents said and made a fervent appeal to the concerned authorities to take immediate measures by plugging the pot holes as well as providing sufficient lighting on the road.
