JAMMU, Dec 1: People from the village Pouni Chak have urged upon J&K LG, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and DC Jammu to intervene and immediately transfer a piece of land measuring 6 kanal under Khasra number 226, 227, 228 at village Pouni Chak Wand Waziran in Ward Number 32.
In a press conference here today Sat Pal Karloopia and others claimed that one Sham Lal son of Sain Dass has grabbed 4 kanals of this land belonging to Custodian Department.
The villagers demanded that the land should be retrieved from the grabber and given to JMC for making playground for children or some parking place for vehicles or for some Community Hall.
Sanjay Sharma, chairman; Sudershan K Sharma, president, Bishan Lal, vice president and Deepak Sharma, secretary were also present in the press conference.
