Power crises in Jammu

Sir,
This  is with reference to the editorial ” In grip of power crises (June 13),” I fully endorse your views due to lack of integrated approach adopted by various essential deptts viz PDD ,JMC, PHE, Floriculture etc., situation is worsening day -by- day in Jammu. With no remedial measures at place, step-motherly treatment with Jummuites, our politicians and babus who are at  present enjoying the climate of summer capital at Srinagar  with their families, leaving us in lurch in the scorching heat . It is ironical that electricity metered consumers despite assurance by the Govt., continue to face interrupted electric supply, low voltage compelling to switch off electric gadgets in Jammu. It is futile exercise to supply electricity at low voltage with frequent fluctuations in the present situation. The PDD deptt., must augment electricity, upgrade existing transformers and  maintain electric lines on priority basis to mitigate the sufferings of Jammuites.
The supply of electricity at low voltage is an eye wash nothing but to befooling the tax payers. The experts of PDD Deptt,. may be advised to dispense with supply of unscheduled power cuts and low voltage immediately in all localities of Jammu  City including  Channi  Himmat. It is surprising to know why additional grant of Rs 550 crores offered by the Central Power Ministry under Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Prog (R-APDRP) could not be utilized for upgradation of  PDD infrastructure in Jammu. The officials including minister concerned owe explanation to people of Jammu.
Early redressal of the grievance with permanent solutions are warranted.
Yours etc……..
