Power crisis

Sir,
While going through the fascinating editorial, “Power breakdown,” dated August 27, 2014, I agree to the valuable suggestions put forth to improve the power scenario in Jammu city especially during the  hot sizzling summer season, when people gasp for a breath of cool air.
The PDD should undergo a fresh survey to assess the power requirements of various pockets of the city and practically implement the roadmap by installing the heavy duty transformers to cope with the power requirements of rural as well as urban belts well in advance to resist the huge burden of power consumption. The Editor has  blamed the irresponsibility of the PDD authorities at various levels with reference to power grid station Janipur, that supplies electricity to the vast areas comprising of six sub stations. Unless some new heavy duty transformers are installed in places like Muthi, Durga Nagar, the resentment of people against frequent power cuts shall not stop, the tall claims of improvement in power scenario shall turn hollow during next summer. The PDD authorities must also install two phase power lines to avoid power fluctuations that causes a great damage to household electronic gadgets.
The need of the hour is to prepare plans in advance and execute them with adequate finance during winter to avoid public outrage of power crisis during next summer.
Yours etc…
