SRINAGAR, Sept 22: The electric employees held a demonstration at Srinagar and Ganderbal demanding their regularisation and release of salaries to daily wagers.
Trade Union leader, Sheik Gulam Rubani addressed electrical employees at Generation Division Ganderbal.
He stressed upon the Government to resolve the long pending demands of the electrical employees without any further delay because employees are suffering from the last so many years.
He said that Government has assured and promised for early settlement of the demands but nothing has materialized so for.
He warned Government to solve the long pending demands at an earliest otherwise the employees have no alternative to go on agitation.
He demanded regularisation of TDL, PDL, casual daily wagers, promotion to all categories as per SRO 381, salary be drawn regularly after every month and employees be given Deputation Allowance.
Meanwhile, chairman Pensioners Welfare Association and veteran Trade Union leader, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butvina has urged the Government to solve the long pending demands of the PDD employees and daily wagers who are struggling for their regualrisation for decades together.
Mir said that their demands are totally justified and a process for their regularisation was started by previous coalition Government which was put on halt later for unknown reasons.
He said the daily wagers are without wages for months together and some of them are at the verge of starvation due to non payment of wages. The Government should have a humane approach towards these hapless employees and redress their problems without delay.
