JAMMU, Mar 13: A deputation of Provincial Power Employees Union Jammu called on PDD Principal Secretary Arun Mehta, Development Commissioner Salroo and Chief Engineer M & RE Wing Srinagar and submitted a charter of demands.
The demands included regularization of daily wagers who have completed 7 years uninterrupted service, two and half day salary up to rank of JE (Non Gazetted), cancellation of illegal Promotion Order No. 514 DCP of 2012, Dated: 26/03/2012, publication of final seniority list of all cadres and special concession of monthly electric charges to J&K PDD employees on pattern of neighbouring States.
Arun Mehta, Principal Secretary, assured to look into all the demands. He also assured that during privatization the rights of serving PDD employees would not be harmed and they may not need to be worried in this regard.
The deputation comprised of Shakti Gupta, Ajaz Kazmi, Sanjeev Bali, Madan Gopal Gupta, Subash Chander and Brij Raj Singh.
