Power Grid, Army, CSRL initiative to change future of under privileged students

JAMMU, Sept 5: Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., a central transmission utility, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership, (CSRL), New Delhi, for funding free coaching of 15 students belonging to underprivileged sections of rural Kashmir under Kashmir Super-30 project of famous Abhayanand Super-30 in a function held at Srinagar.
The function was attended by Brig RK Singh of Indian Army, JP Singh Executive Director, Powergrid Northern Region-II, Atul Trivedi General Manager (ESMD) Powergrid, Stanley Mathews Chief Manager (HR), SM Dar Chief Manager Powergrid (Wagoora), SK Sahay Director CSRL, Director Education , Asstt. Commissioner Srinagar alongwith various senior officials of Indian Army, POWEGRID, CSRL and the students who have been selected for the project.
The project is being implemented by CSRL, under the academic mentorship of Abhayanand. IPS, Director General of Police, Bihar, and co-founder of famous SUPER 30, Patna in collaboration with 15 Corps and 19 Infantry Division of Indian Army and Powergrid .
The project entails for providing of free residential expert coaching for a period of 11 months, to talented students of under privileged sections of rural Kashmir, for preparing them for IIT/JEE Mains, IIT/JEE Advance, AIEEE and other State Engineering Entrance Examinations, for securing admissions in various premier Engineering colleges viz IITs, NITs.
During residential coaching, the students will also be provided with well equipped free boarding and lodging facility with free meals and free medical care, besides Online coaching by Abhayanand, DGP, Bihar.
Indian Army is contributing to the project by providing infrastructure support where as POWER GRID will bear the expenditure for imparting coaching to 15 students of the batch under its Corporate Social Responsibility scheme for the FY 2013-14.
