JAMMU, Feb 28: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) today provided an ambulance to Government Chest Diseases (CD) & TB Hospital, Jammu under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director, POWERGRID Northern Region-II handed over the ambulance to Dr Rajeshwar Sharma, Medical Superintendent (MS) of the Hospital in the presence of Dr Manoj Chalotra, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu along with RVS Kushwaha, CGM, Power Grid, Sanjay Kumar Verma, Senior DGM (HR), Power Grid and other senior officials of Power Grid.
With this initiative, POWERGRID continues its efforts in supplementing Government Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis Hospital, Jammu, which is extending facilities availed by weaker and under-privileged sections of Jammu and nearby districts.
Realizing the indispensable role of ambulance services in emergency pre-hospital medical care, patient transfer, ease of access to health services particularly to rural/difficult areas, Power Grid has undertaken initiative of providing ambulances to Government hospitals/Medical Colleges/Rural Health Centers as part of its CSR initiative.
