JAMMU, Mar 9: Power Grid Northern Region-II, Jammu, organized a musical night at Zorawar Singh Auditorium of University of Jammu, here on Saturday night. The event was organized in connection with the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Power Grid.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited was setup as a central transmission utility in 1989 with the prime objective of ensuring development of an efficient coordinated and economical system of interstate transmission lines for smooth flow of electricity from generating stations to load centres.
National award winner and noted playback singer, Sadhna Sargam along with Chetan Rana and their troupe enthralled the capacity full auditorium for more than three hours.
The anchoring was done by noted standup comedian and anchor, Rajeev Malhotra.
The event was attended by all the employees of Power Grid NRTS-II posted at Jammu, Jyotipuram and Narwal along with their family members.
Executive Director, (HR), IR Kidwai, was the chief guest while senior officials of Power Grid, various luminaries and prominent citizens from the State were also present.
Earlier Executive Director, (NRTS-II), JP Singh and General Manager (Incharge Projects) welcomed all the guests.
IR Kidwai along with JP Singh and SK Sharma, felicitated all the musicians, performers and singers, who performed during the night.
The vote of thanks was presented by Chief Manager (HR), Stanley Mathews while the programme ended with a community dinner at Power Grid Township premises.
