KATHUA, May 15: Former minister and senior Congress leader, Dr Manohar  Lal Sharma has alleged that power hungry  BJP has ruined the J&K State.
Addressing public meeting  at village  Dewal in Billawar Sub Division the other day, former MLA Billawar  criticized BJP for its complete failure to deal with Kashmir situation since attaining power in the Centre as well as in the J&K State. He accused BJP of its utter failure in its fight against terrorism in  Kashmir and other parts of the country.  He said  BJP has no concrete policy to fight against terrorism and anti-national forces, who are being encouraged day by day due to totally confused policy adopted by BJP to fight against Pakistan’s sponsored proxy war in Kashmir.
Dr Sharma expressed serious concern over rise in ceasefire violations and the cross border terrorist activities, killings of soldiers of Army and para-military forces, Bank robberies and deteriorating  law and order situation  in the State.
Dr Sharma pointed out that the people of all tehsils including Billawar, Ramkote, Nagrota, Dinga Amb and other areas of Billawar constituency are badly suffering  due  to failure of power supply.  He said 12-15 hours curtailment during  whole day and night hours during these hot summer days has made life of people miserable. He said that  BJP  proved complete failure on all the fronts.
Congress leader said that  working style of BJP in present dispensation is totally against the interest of Jammu province. The people of Jammu who have big expectations  from BJP,  made during assembly elections,  are feeling cheated.
The people during meeting showed great resentment against the wrong and anti- people polices of BJP and PDP Government which is responsible for price rise of all daily consumable items including essential commodities, many fold rise in corruption both in Govt offices and political level, non-availability of medicines and doctors in Govt hospitals and dispensaries, non- availability of proper power and drinking water supply in many villages, non- availability of sugar and ration in Govt sale depot for the last more than four months.
