Power shut down

JAMMU, Oct 17: In order to carry out the repair works of 220 KV Circuit Breakers at Grid Station Bishnah by M/s U. B. Engineering Ltd and to carry out maintenance works on 220 KV Hiranagar-Bishnah Transmission Line, the shut down of Grid Station Bishnah and 220 KV Hiranagar-Bishnah Transmission Line for two hours each day on  October 18, 19 and 20, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon has been allowed.
As intimated by Chief Enginer, S&O Wing Jammu, during the shut down period, the power supply to Grid Station Bishnah, Suhagpur, Nandpur and adjoining areas will be affected.
Meanwhile, in order to carry out the erection of 13 Mtr. Steel Tubular Poles under 33 KV G-3, G-6 and G-7 and other allied line works and portion of LT line of auxiliary transformer in Gladni, the power supply to Channi Himmat, Sainik Colony, Transport Nagar, Narwal, Bathindi, MES Sunjwan Cantt. Railway Colony, Nanak Nagar, part of Trikuta Nagar, part of Gandhi Nagar and its adjoining areas fed from these 33 KV lines, will remain affected on 18-10-2014 (Saturday) from 8 a.m. to 12.00 Noon.
In order to carry out branch cutting, tightening of jumpers and other allied maintenance works of 33 KV Canal-Satwari line, the power supply to the Satwari, Ashok Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Digiana, Military Cantt. Airport, Jeevan Nagar and adjoining areas fed from this line will remain affected on October 18, 2014 (Saturday) from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon.
