JAMMU, June 14 : The power supply to the areas supplied from the feeders emanating from Receiving Station 33/11 KV Canal would remain affected for three days from June 15 as shutdown is required for cutting branches and stabilization of C-7, C-8 and C-16 feeders to ensure smooth power supply to Bhagwati Nagar, base camp during the ensuing Shri Amarnathji yatra.
The areas where the power supply would be affected include Bhagwati Nagar, Puran Nagar, Kabir Colony, Vikas Lane, Nitco Lane, Gole Pulli, Talab Tillo and PHE Installations of these areas.
Similarly, in order to carry out the urgent work and branch cutting on line emanating from 33/11 KV R/Stn JDA, the power supply to the part of Green Belt (A/D, B/B) Valmiki Colony, Laxmi Narayan Mandir locality, Back-side of Pahalwan Di Hatti and its adjoining areas fed from JDA-1 feeder would remain affected on June 15, 2012from 6 am to 11 am.
Meanwhile, to combat situation which has arisen due to low frequency and to maintain the grid discipline, the Power Development Department is forced to resort to curtailment as and when distress call is received from SLDC and NRLDC.
The situation is unavoidable and therefore, consumers are requested to bear with the departments and use electricity judiciously and sparingly.
