JAMMU, Dec 30: Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (PDCL) here today disconnected 56 connections of defaulter consumers during a drive in Gandhi Nagar, Bahu Plaza, Trikuta Nagar, Sainik Colony and Bathindi areas.
A handout of the Corporation stated that arrears of Rs 14,76,480 have been recovered and 23 FIRs lodged against the persons using power illegally though hooking in Gulab Colony of Bathindi area, which were removed by the inspection team.
Assistant Executive Engineer, Electric Sub Division-1, PDCL Gandhi Nagar has appealed to the public to restrict using heating gadgets, electric cooking appliances and use LED lamps only.
