Power, water crises in Jammu

Sir,
On reading the news “PDD” Sub Transmission distribution ..Point” dated 10th June the natives of this winter capital who are facing the extremely acute shortage  of electric and water supply realise that what should have long back been got done by the elected representatives of this capital city has intentionally been ignored inspite of more than liberal funding by the Central Govt. How grave are the sufferings of the  people in this hot belt of the State during the summer months because of acute short supply of these necessaties of today’s urban human life are known to the sufferers alone. While installing the electronic meters the Govt had announced that the metered areas were to remain free of power cuts but unfortunately the metered areas, like border areas are the worst sufferers. South Gandhi Nagar including some parts of Nanak Nagar have been subjected to every two hourly  noetunal cuts besides five to six day time cuts of more than one hour each. If one goes by the demonstrations being made by the residents of other areas of this hot belt, the supply position is dismal all around.
One simply wonders as to why those who are responsible for managing the affairs of the State are maintaining the killing silence? Why don’t they realise that they took the responsibility of providing at least the basic necessaties of civilised human life if not the much hyped very decent world class luxurious life being enjoyed elsewhere in many civilised societies. The politicians and their chanchas in different avtars never get tired by telling the people in arranged seminars and other such gatherings, about the good governance, transparent and people friendly programmes, accountability in governance at all levels and many more election gimmick.
There is none to listen to the suffering masses and almost all the functionaries of the PDD keep their mobile phones switched off.
Yours etc….
