JAMMU, Oct 30: As part of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 2, Powergrid Corporation of India, Northern Region Transformation System II, today organised vendors meet at its regional headquarters, Jammu to sensitize them about some of the common issues that haunt the vendors during construction and operation of transmission system.
Senior executives from all the major vendors of Powergrid attended the meet. Prominent among those companies that attended the meet included BHEL, L&T, EMCO, RS Gill & Company, GET, Siemens, TATA Projects, Aster, Crompton Greaves, Alsthom, Vijay Fire and Shipra.
Paramjit Singh Chahal, Head of Vigilance Northern RegionaI appraised the participants of the steps being taken by the Government of India, CVC and CTE in eradication of the menace of corruption in the country. He also highlighted the efforts of Powergrid in this direction, which include the process on line inspections, web based complaint system, e-Billing and Bill Tracking System.
Senior most officers of Powergrid including Executive Director, J P Singh, General Mangers S K Sharma, R K Chouhan and R K Suri were also present on the occasion.
