JAMMU, Feb 8: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWEGRID) has provided one critical care ambulance and other equipment to the Directorate of Health Services Jammu (DHSJ) under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
A statement said that the Maharatna PSU under Ministry of Power, Government of India, POWERGRID, also provided to the DHSJ one portable ECG 12 Channel Machine, Biochemistry Semi Auto Analyser and one Automatic Biochemistry Analyser.
Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director, POWERGRID, Northern Region-II handed over the ambulance and other equipment to Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization and Director Health Services Jammu in presence of other officers of POWEGRID and DHS Jammu, said the press statement.
It said that the cost of the equipment is around Rs 30 lakh.
“While the AC Critical Care Ambulance along with one portable ECG 12 Channel Machine, Biochemistry Semi Auto Analyser is for Government Hospital Sarwal, the automatic Biochemistry Analyser has been installed at SDH, Akhnoor,” the press statement further said.
“The CSR efforts of the POWERGRID will augment the existing health infrastructure in Jammu Division and will support the hospitals located in Sarwal and Akhnoor to provide best medical services to the nearby towns and villages,” it added.
The authorities of the Health Department, Jammu thanked the POWERGRID for providing the ambulance and other equipment.
