POWERGRID signs MoU with DC Samba for providing help under CSR

JAMMU, Aug 26: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with District Development Commissioner, Samba for providing help under CSR wherein four vehicle mounted road Vacuum Sweeper Machines, one Ballistic Separator and one JCB loader will be given to Samba District.
The MoU was signed by Vinod P. Baxla, General Manager (HR) on behalf of POWERGRID and Anuradha Gupta, DC Samba in the presence of Ramesh Kumar, Sr. DGM Samba POWERGRID and other senior officers from POWERGRID and Samba District administration.
The cost of this project is estimated at Rs. 1.42 crore and it shall be completed within the current financial year.
DC Samba thanked POWERGRID for taking up this CSR initiative for providing hygienic infrastructure to Samba district which will benefit common masses of the district.
As a responsible Corporate Citizen, POWERGRID has been extending support for development of various infrastructure activities in Jammu province through its CSR initiatives amounting to more than Rs. 3 crore during the last three years.
