JAMMU, Jan 12: In order to provide a Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner (128 Slice), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) signed an MoU with Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (HBCHRC), Chandigarh here today.
The MoU was signed by Vinod P. Baxla, General Manager (HR) on behalf of POWERGRID and Dr. Ashish Gulia, Director on behalf of HBCHRC in the presence of other senior officials of both the organisations.
Under the agreement, the funds to the tune of 6.5 cr. for the procurement, to be provided by POWERGRID, shall be utilized by HBCHRC to procure the Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner (128 Slice), which shall be on immense benefit to the hospital in providing effective treatment to the needy patients. This project shall be an initiative of POWERGRID towards promoting health infrastructure in Northern Region.
On this occasion Director (HBCHRC) thanked POWERGRID for taking up this CSR initiative for providing this particular infrastructure to the Hospital.
POWERGRID, Northern Region -II with headquarter in Jammu is having its Transmission System spread over in the states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, parts of Haryana and UT of Chandigarh, Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir.
