JAMMU, Aug 9: In a significant development, Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) has signed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) at Vadodara, Gujarat for off-take of power from its two major hydro projects-Pakal Dul (1000 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) Hydel Electricity Projects.
These Agreements were signed by J.J Gandhi, GM (Commerce) on behalf of GUVNL and Amrik Singh, General Manager (Planning) on behalf of CVPPPL in the presence of officers of NHPC Limited, RHPCL & GUVNL.
A handout stated that the PPAs are valid for a period of 40 years from the date of Commercial Operation of these projects.
