JAMMU, Dec 10: Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Skati Gupta constituted a new body with Koushal Sharma as its president.
Sucheit Singh was elected as general secretary and Supinder Singh as chief spokesperson of the Union.
In his address the newly elected president said that henceforth the PPEU is not part of any Coordination Committee.
He said the Union under his leadership will strive hard for settlement of burning issues of employees including regularization of daily wagers and need base employees having completed seven years of service and constitution of Departmental Promotion Committee for Technician IInd and IIIrd.
Anay Gupta, Satpal, Bharat Bhushan, Subash Pandey, Ram Lal, Munish Chib were among others who attended the meeting.
