JAMMU, Dec 17: Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) held a protest at EM&RE Division No III, Rehari and projected their demands.
The office bearers of PPEU held protest under the leadership of its Chairman Shakti Gupta, President Sanjeev Bali and general secretary Ajaz Qazmi. The protestors raised slogans in favour of their demands.
They warned the authorities to fulfill their demands at the earliest, otherwise they will adopt agitational path, the responsibility of the consequence of which will be on higher authorities of PDD.
While speaking, Shakti Gupta demanded that the officials who have been attached should to be de-attached, 600 daily wagers be regularized with immediate effect, regular payment be made to the need based employees and regular DPC in all cadre of categories.
He also suggested that instead of blaming field staff of not plugging hooking, LT AB cable be installed as envisaged in various projects as it is not humanly possible to watch the huge bare conductor network in present setup with Lt distribution network laid in ever increasing inhabited space congestion.
The union requested to Development Commissioner Power, Chief Engineer EM&RE Wing to intervene in the matter as soon as possible so that the undesirable circumstances are avoided.
