JAMMU, Mar 17: An emergency meeting of Pardesh Vishwakarma Sabha was held at its headquarters- Vishwakarma Mandir, Gurah Bakshi Nagar here today.
The meeting was chaired by the Sabha president along with all the executive members who strongly condemned the inadequate enhancement of OBC Reservation from 4% to 8% and not following the recommendations under Mandal Commission Report.
The members present during the meeting said that this order of the Govt. is totally against the expectations of OBCs by raising reservation from 4% to 8% and adding 15 new castes in the list of OBC. The State OBCs have been denied their Constitutional rights for the last 70 years, particularly from 1992 when the Mandal Commission Report was implemented. Every successive Govt may it be of N.C, PDP, Congress or BJP have deceived the OBC people.
BJP as it is now proved working by keeping the vote bank for political advantages that is why they issued order last day before announcing of Code of Conduct. BJP Govt. has diluting the main concept of reservation by including some castes, which defeat the object of the Constitution of India. Reservation has now become the freebies to get the votes of masses thus, completely diluting its basic concept. Sabha condemns and rejects this Govt order to OBC’s unless Mandal Commission Report is implemented in its true spirit.
Shashi Verma, Raj Chalotra, Sham Lal Chargotra, Amarjeet Chargotra, Ashwani Kumar and Joginder Verma were also present on the occasion.
