JAMMU, Jan 18: J&K Pensioners Welfare Association led by its president Sampath Prakash and State president of Government Transport Undertaking (GTU) Pensioners Welfare Association Abdul Qayoom Khan held a meeting with Minister for Transport and Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Choudhary Mohd Ramzan and discussed various issues.
During the meeting, the issues which were discussed included leave salary of 577 retired officers and officials who were on deputation in JKSRTC, pay arrears and pay anomalies including Cost Of Living Allowances (COLA) for 2200 GTU Pensioners.
Minister gave a patient hearing to their demands and agreed to release the arrears amounting to Rs 3.86 lakh and COLA arrears of all GTU pensioners.
