JAMMU, Mar 29: In connection with the 443rd Prakash Utsav of Guru Nabha Dass ji, a grant function was organised at All J&K Mahasha Saddar Sabha, Dogra Hall here today.
The programme was jontly organised by Guru Nabha Dass Ji Trust and All J&K Mahasha Saddar Sabha, under the supervision of senior members of the celebration committee, namely M D Dardi Chairman Guru Nabha Dass Trust, M L Rao working president J&K Mahasha Saddar Sabha and Som Raj Taroch, chairman of the Sabha.
State BJP president and MLA West, Sat Sharma was the chief guest while Dr Devinder Manyal, MLA Samba guest of honour. Several prominent members of the Biradari attended the function. The programmee was organised with great enthusiasm and religious fervor and a large number of members of the community witnessed it.
An impressive cultural programme was presented by the artists on the occasion. Devotional songs were also sung by several artists of the area. The Celebration Committee honoured the chief guest and guest of honour by presenting shawls and turbans.
While speaking on the occasion the chief guest and others including M D Dardi and N D Rajwal highlighted the life and teachings of Guru Nabha Dass Ji. They described him a great Guru who taught love and brotherhood and quality among the people.
On this occasion trophies were distributed among the members of the community for their outstanding contributions. A community lunch (Langar ) was also arranged for the devotees. A memorandum with charter of demands was also presented to the chief guest on this occasion.
