Pre-recruitment training in eastern Ladakh by Army

UDHAMPUR, Sept 25: With an aim to extend a helping hand to the youth of eastern Ladakh and in pursuit of the vision of Operation Sadbhavana, for the first time in the history of eastern Ladakh a month long pre-recruitment training cadre was organised by Army unit under the aegis of Trishul Division.
The cadre involved screening of potential recruits from far flung areas of Ladakh like Hanley, Nyoma, Chumar and Muth, followed by an intensive training capsule focused on imparting intensive physical, mental and psychological training under a pool of qualified instructors.
Out of the 112 potential aspirants identified by Army, 45 of them cleared the basic documentation, physical test and medical examination during various recruitment rallies conducted in Ladakh region.
The selected recruits were then put through a month long systematic coaching capsule in preparations for the written examination. Finally a total of 36 aspirants cleared the written exam for the impending recruitment training at Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre (LSRC), Leh scheduled to commence on September 30, 2016.
The selected recruits were felicitated by Maj Gen Sudhakar Jee, GOC Trishul Division amongst the gathering of Nambardar and Sarpanch of villages of Eastern Ladakh Region. The locals applauded the efforts being taken by the army and expressed their gratitude towards the same.
