SRINAGAR, Mar 5: Family members of a pregnant woman who died at the maternity hospital of Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura today staged a protest, accusing the doctors and administration of “medical negligence” due to which, they said, their daughter died.
The family members of the deceased woman, who was identified as Ulfat Jan, a resident of Ganderbal, staged a protest on the premises of the hospital against the doctors, alleging that their daughter was not provided sufficient treatment which led to her death.
The aggrieved family members of the deceased woman sought that the doctors, who they claim should have attended to their patient, but did not, must face harsh punishment.
A committee has been formed to investigate this matter, according to hospital officials, and it will provide its findings in a report within five days.
