JAMMU, July 22: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) held a meeting of it’s Executive Committee to deliberate upon the forthcoming challenges confronting the Trust and the community at large. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of its president Roshan Lal Pandita, vice chairman Shiban Khaibri, general secretary, Shadi Lal Koul Rais and secretary Sundri Lal Koul were among others who attended it.
Addressing the meeting Roshan Lal Pandita expressed optimism that time has come for the passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill for the protection and preservation of the Hindu temples and shrines in Kashmir.
Shiban Khaibri while speaking on the occasion appealed the Lt. Governor to bring an ordnance for the passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill which is long overdue. He said that the ordinance would go a long way in creating conditions and would act as a big Confidence Building Measure (CBM) for the resettlement of the Kashmiri Pandits in their homeland in Kashmir.
The meeting decided to celebrate the forthcoming day of 5th August as a day of deliverance and liberation, when the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya would begin. The Executive Committee in the meeting appealed to all its members and all like minded groups and institutions to celebrate the 5th August and light candles and Diyas on that day. The meeting also chalked out the course of action to be adopted in the coming days and also framed a Committee that would be meeting the higher authorities in this regard.
