JAMMU, Oct 26: Nexa Peaks Auto–authorised dealer of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, unveiled its premium hatchback Baleno.
The Baleno is being offered with a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine paired to a CVT or a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine is good for 84.3 PS of power, 115 Nm of torque, and returns 21.4 km/l. The 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine develops 75 PS, 190 Nm of torque and claims 27.39 km/l. The diesel variant is solely available with a 5-speed manual transmission.
At the introductory price announced by Maruti Suzuki today, Baleno offers substantially more value to customers and is set to redefine the premium hatchback segment in the country. Baleno will be sold through Nexa, the new chain of premium exclusive automotive retail outlets recently launched by Maruti Suzuki.

Baleno comes with Apple CarPlay, an initiative in car entertainment system from the global leader of smartphones. MSI will be the first OEM in India to offer Apple CarPlay. The model also comes with various features including multi-information speedometer and UV reduction glasses, he added.
Baleno hosts an impressive array of advanced safety features. Built on Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT), this premium hatchback offers an optimum package of safety and stability. Extensive use of High Tensile Steel makes the body stronger, safer and lighter. Dual airbags, seatbelts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, front disc brakes with ABS and EBD are available on Baleno from base variant onwards. Driver seat belt reminder buzzer with lamp and rear parking sensors with camera are among the other safety features on Baleno.
