Preparations for Bharat Jodo Yatra in full swing: Uday Chib

UDHAMPUR, Dec 18: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) president, Uday Bhanu Chib, accompanied by IYC secretary In-charge Jammu Kashmir Navneet Kaur and Anirudh Sawhney Secretary PYC In-charge Media Coordinator, held a preparatory meeting with District Youth Congress Udhampur to review preparations for the upcoming `Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
Ex-MLA and DCC president Krishan Lal Bhagat was present at the meeting. DYC president Navneet Thakur and DYC working president Abhay Sindhu, and AYC Assembly president Udhampur attended the meeting.
The Youth Congress leaders deliberated upon the planning and implementation for the smooth conduct of the Yatra. The PYC leaders also interacted with local members to discuss the preparations. The `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ of Rahul Gandhi will be entering Jammu Kashmir some time in January.
Speaking during the meeting, PYC president Uday Bhanu Chib lauded the `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ as a historic movement and said that people of Jammu are eager for their welcome. He said that preparations are going well for the Yatra and it is being ensured that the Yatra will sail smoothly when it comes to the region. The Padyatra is a foot- march undertaken to unite people from across the nation and it is extremely important for Jammu Kashmir which has been singled out and ignored by the BJP Government. Preparations are in full swing in Rajasthan for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, which will traverse through these areas, he stated.
Navneet Kaur IYC secretary said that the yatra will receive the same response in Jammu Kashmir as received by the Yatra in other parts of the country. The youth Congress members are also working with great zeal and enthusiasm ahead of the yatra. It is the need of the hour, that people from across the nation, show their stand against the Centre’s divide and rule policy by marching together for unity, she said.
Ex-MLA, KL Bhagat said that the `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is an ideological stand against the divisive nature of BJP government. This ideology of unity is shared by all people across the nation and people in Jammu are also looking forward to being a part of it.
