RAJOURI, Mar 14: Describing the present dispensation as ray of hope for the people, Minister of CA&PD and Tribal Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that new coalition will provide effective administration to ensure better delivery of services to the people.
The Minister was addressing a large gathering of people during his maiden visit to Rajouri today. Minister for Rural Development, Abdul Haq Khan was also present on the occasion.
The Minister said that streamlining the functioning of the departments and providing a transparent and accountable administration is the prime focus of the Government. ‘Challenges are enormous and we are determined to meet these’, he maintained and sought cooperation of the people for taking the State forward on the path of development and progress.
The Minister said that various reformative measures have been put in place to provide good governance to the people and infuse transparency and accountability in the system. He said efforts will be made to ensure benefits of various welfare programmes to all.
Minister reiterated zero tolerance for corruption and said stringent steps will be taken to eradicate this plague which has deteriorated the system.
Minister for Rural Development Abdul Haq Khan emphasized that the Coalition Government has developed a vision document to steer the State on the path of development and ensure equitable development of all the regions.
He said that all efforts will be made to provide better services to the people and safeguard and promote their interest.
Various deputations met the Ministers and apprised them with their problems and demands. Giving a patient hearing to the demands projected, the Ministers assured that their genuine demands will be redressed in phased manner.
MLA Rajouri, Qamer Choudhary, MLA Noswhera, Arvinder Raina besides senior officers of Rural Development Department and CAPD Department were also present on the occasion.
